'Chariots of Fire' playwright Mike Bartlett directs his own, contemporary version of Euripides's primal revenge tragedy, which promises to present Medea – a mother struggling to cope with her husband's affair with a younger woman – as a fallible woman of today. This Headlong production could be the chance for Rachael Stirling – twice-Olivier nominated daughter of Dame Diana Rigg – to shine centre stage. The cast also includes Paul Brendan, Lu Corfield, Christopher Ettridge and Adam Levy, with design by Ruari Murchison.
