‘Madrid is a Female Name’ is a mini month-long showcase of Spanish-language plays from the Spanish capital, made by female creatives who work in the city.

‘La Blanca’ (Mar 2) is a monologue about mixed heritage, performed by actress Anahí Beholi and written by María Folguera.

‘Descarriadas’ (Mar 9) by Laila Ripoll is about a woman grappling with her guilt after being assualted at a rock concert.

In ‘Gloria’ (Mar 16) by Noelia Adánez and Valeria Alonso a famous poet reflects back upon her youth.

Finally, ‘Una Habitacion Propia’ (Mar 23) is a stage adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s ‘A Room of One’s Own’ by Maria Ruiz.
