The legendary Maly Drama Theatre of St Petersburg returns to London for the first time in an age with director Lev Dodin's adaptation of Vasily Grossman’s formerly banned novel, an epic journey through one Russian-Jewish family’s story as they suffer at the hands of both the Nazis and Soviet Communism. Performed in Russian with English surtitles. In rep with a production of ‘Uncle Vanya’, which enjoys a shorter, three-date run.
