After his gruelling 'Wars of the Roses' last year, veteran director Trevor Nunn returns to the Rose Theatre with a production of one of Shakespeare's least staged history plays - and the penultimate in Nunn's personal mission to stage every last one of the bard's works. 

Richard the Lionheart is dead, and a mess of scheming and murder follows, presided over by a man known as 'Britain's worst King'.
