Time Out says

This rediscovered play by St John Ervine was written in 1913, as Votes for Women campaigning reached its apex. 'Jane Clegg' is the story of a travelling salesman's wife who struggles to break free of an abusive marriage. In its day, it garnered comparisons to Ibsen, but it hasn't been seen in London since 1944. This revival at the Finborough Theatre is directed by David Gilmore, who's also been at the helm of West End shows including 'Grease' and 'Lend Me A Tenor'.
