80 years on from the Nanking massacre, Christopher Chen's play is an exploration of the psychological impact of genocide. It's the story of a prominant researcher whose work on the massacre sends her into a state of surreal mental torment, haunted by the ghosts she uncovers.
Chen's play has its European premiere at Finborough Theatre, after opening in New York to strong reviews. It's directed by Georgie Staight, who also worked on 'Dubailand' at the Finborough last year.
