The premiere of acclaimed dramatist Howard Barker's new tragicomedy. Named for the WW1 battle of Isonzo, it celebrates its centenary in an unlikely way with a story of romance between an 100 year old man and his blind 17 year old bride Tenna. Their battle takes place in a sightless world, on the day of their wedding.
The second half of the bill is a revival of Barker's 'Judith: A Parting from the Body'. An Israeli widow tries to seduce an Assyrian general to save her country from disaster.
Featuring voice acting from Olivier-nominated Nicholas Le Prevost, and starring Coronation Street actor Catherine Cusack.
