How Not to Drown

Dritan Kastrati’s autobiographical play – co-written with Nicola McCartney – combines a thriller-ish first half that details his upbringing in Kosovo and displacement by the war, with a change of pace second half that details his grim experience of the English car system as a child refugee. A hit at the Edinburgh Fringe back in 2019, Kastrati himself stars in this belated London transfer for ‘How Not to Drown’.
