Time Out says

Set during WWI, Daniel York Loh's new play tells the story of the thousands of Chinese labourers who left everything they knew to work for Allied troops behind the Front. It takes its name, 'Forgotten', from '遗忘', the word for forgotten, left behind, or erased, and aims to reveal the hidden stories of the ordinary people who struggled through the unrest following the fall of the country's last Imperial Dynasty, and became embroiled in a far away war. Kim Pearce directs.
