MJ opened on the West End in March 2024, and quickly became a box office record-smashing crowd favourite. Across its run on Broadway and the West End, it has also won many major awards, including four Tony Awards, 'Best Choreography' at the WhatsOnStage awards 2025, and was just nominated for three Olivier awards, including Best New Musical! With the book penned by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Lynn Nottage, MJ centres around the making of the 1992 Dangerous World Tour, offering a rare look at the creative mind of Michael Jackson.

Here's the exciting part: we're giving away four tickets to one lucky winner! Scroll down to enter, and check out our top five reasons why you need to experience the magic of the King of Pop live on stage.

1. The songs

Smooth Criminal. Bad. Black or White. Everyone’s got their favourite Michael Jackson song. MJ also features Jackson 5 bops and beloved deep cuts, but above all there are some of the most famous and beloved pop tunes in history, from Blame it on the Boogie to the Man in Mirror, Beat It to Billie Jean.

2. The dance

If Michael Jackson had just been a singer, he’d still have been pretty damn big, but of course it’s those remarkable, physics-defying dance routines that defined him as a star presence. MJ is directed by the great dance choreographer Christopher Wheeldon OBE, and you’d better believe it shows. It’s a non-stop choreographic spectacular that blends musical theatre tradition with Jackson’s iconic routines.

3. The star

You can’t just act the role of Michael Jackson. You also have to sing and dance like him, which is a simple sentence to write but clearly represents something beyond most actors who have ever lived. MJ wouldn’t work if it had anything less than a world-class lead – and that’s where Jamaal Fields-Green comes in. After starring as MJ on Broadway and in the national tour of the US, he moonwalked onto the West End stage in January this year to show off his triple threat talent. The show is truly worth it for him alone.

4. The spectacle

The West End plays host to a lot of musicals, but only every few years does a proper gargantuan spectacular come along. MJ is the spectacular of our time, a colossal Broadway smash that could only run in a huge theatre like the Prince Edward. It’s a big budget blockbuster of the purest form – even if you’re only Jackson-curious it’ll blow your mind.

5. The celeb factor

As if you needed any more reasons to secure your tickets to MJ, some big names have seen the show on both sides of the pond. On Broadway, it's been seen by Madonna, P!nk, Mariah Carey, Charlize Theron, Chance The Rapper and Common. The West End premier welcomed a plethora of big names – we're talking film composer Hans Zimmer, Strictly Come Dancing stars Arlene Phillips and Darcey Bussell, and talk show host Jeremy Vine.
