If there's one person who should receive a medal for effort this Olympic year it's Damon Albarn. His band Blur have already received a musical gold in 2012, a lifetime achievement award at this year's Brits, and they're also due to headline a massive Olympics closing concert in Hyde Park on August 12. But being the polymath that he is, Albarn will be coming to London in different guise this summer in collaboration with ENO with this folk opera about Elizabethan occultist John Dee. 'Dr Dee' premiered last year at the Manchester International Festival and is directed by Rufus Norris. Albarn himself performs, alongside an unusual multitude of other musicians.
