New York puppeteer Basil Twist (who worked on Kate Bush's 'Before the Dawn' concerts) draws on traditional Japanese puppet practices in this piece 'Dogugaeshi' where hand painted gilt and paper panels shift and revolve to create strange scenes of foxes, city scapes and bridges. The piece features video projection and live shamisen music from Yumiko Tanaka. Ages 10-plus. Part of the London International Mime Festival which runs Jan 8-31.
