Time Out says

‘Dick Whittington’ has closed due to Tier 3 restrictions, but a recording will stream for free on the NT YouTube page from 3pm GMT Dec 23 to midnight Dec 27. It will then ‘transfer’ to the National Theatre at Home streaming platform for six weeks from Jan 11. It is hoped performances can resume in the new year, though this is very much TBC.

Can the National Theatre’s ‘Dick’ save Christmas? For only the second time in its storied history the NT stages a Christmas pantomime, plugging the gap left by the absence of most of London’s major pantos with an updated version of the Lyric Hammersmith’s 2018 spin on ‘Dick Whittington’, written by Jude Christian and Cariad Lloyd and directed by Ned Bennett. A fine ensemble of Dickie Beau, Amy Booth-Steel, Lawrence Hodgson-Mullings, Georgina Onuorah, and Cleve September make up the cast in a production staged in an in-the-round, socially-distanced Olivier.
