Desdemona: A Play About a Handkerchief

Advertising

Time Out says

We all know how Othello got into that frightful mess in Shakespeare's tragedy - it was the handkerchief! The loyal Desdemona was undone by a bit of cloth but here Paul Vogel re-imagines the classic text with a different side to Othello's wife. We see this Desdemona as full of vim and vigour and tales of her many bawdy conquests, alongside her long suffering maid and the local prostitute Bianca. Big Bear Theatre perform the piece.
