Cry-Baby, The Musical

Arcola boss Mehmet Ergen directs the biggest show in the Dalston institution’s history, as a cast of 17 tackle the UK premiere of this 2008 Broadway adaptation of John Waters’s cult 1990 film. Set in a 1954 Baltimore divided socially between hip ‘drapes’ and square, uh, ‘squares’, it folows the romance between square Allison and drape bad boy Cry-Baby (famously played by a young Johnny Depp on screen). Adam Davidson and Lulu-Mae Pears star as the leads.
