Howard Brenton’s brand new version of Strindberg’s play is running in rep with his version of ‘Miss Julie’ at the Jermyn Street Theatre, with both plays directed by Tom Littler. ‘Creditors’ tells the story of Adolph and Tekla, a couple locked in a troubled marriage. The reliable excellent Dorothea Myer-Bennett, plays the bright, spirited Tekla, with James Sheldon her needy but devoted husband – until a chance meeting with a stranger in a seaside hotel shakes him to his core.
