Things turned out very differently for Neil and his good mate Bono: one found worldwide fame with U2, the other got kidnapped by a Dublin gangster. Veteran telly writing duo Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais ('Porridge', 'The Likely Lads') have teamed up to turn Neil McCormick's memoir 'I was Bono’s Doppelgänger' into a new comedy show. Playing Soho Theatre over Christmas, it's a surreal jaunt through Neil's shambolic life in '70s and '80s Dublin. Gordon Anderson directs.
