Bury the Hatchet

America's alleged 19th century axe murderer Lizzie Borden has fascinated generations of historians and all-round ghouls: did she really murder her parents, or was it all a terrible misunderstanding? Sasha Wilson's musical 'Bury the Hatchet' is a feminist spin on her story, which comes to the Hope Theatre after touring the US. A cast of three perform a stripped-back, meta-theatrical show with a bluegrass-tinged score.
