Time Out says

This roughcut, heartfelt one-man show from actor Chris Larnier is a dramatised account of the final days of his ex-wife Allyson, a long-term MS sufferer whom he took to Switzerland's Dignitas clinic to die.

It is more documentary than drama and chiefly of interest to those genuinely curious about the means by which a British citizen might secure an appointment at Dignitas (it's unbelievably hard to get the correct paperwork) and what takes place during a patient's final days.

The show is intended as a contribution to the debate on assisted suicide in the UK and although I'm not certain it will attract an unpersuaded audience, Larnier is certainly convincing when he argues that, a) Allyson had every right to die and knew exactly what she was doing and, b) Dignitas most certainly does not rush into things.

As a rounded drama, it is less than perfect, largely because Larnier is so dedicated to Allyson's perspective that he talks frustratingly little about what was going through his mind during all this. Still, the final section, concerning the trip to Switzerland, is beautiful stuff, heartbreaking and hopeful.
