We may not be having a trad panto season this year for widely reported reasons, but Charles Dickens’s seasonal ghost story ‘A Christmas Carol’ remain omnipresent-ish, with the Old Vic reprising its annual production (for an online-only audience), the Bridge chipping in with an eccentric three-hander version, and this, a big West End staged concert revival of Alan Menken’s 1994 musical adaptation, which was a seasonal fixture in New York for a decade or so. West End regular Brian Conley plays miserly grump Ebeneezer Scrooge, alongside more than 50 musicians and actors.
