Despite plans for a brand spanking Emirates-style home for Tottenham Hotspur, White Hart Lane remains the club’s pitch for the time being. Nestled amidst the streets and housing of Tottenham, the Archibald Leitch stadium (after various expansions) now seats some 36,000 football fans, some of whom were lucky enough to see Spurs spectacularly beat Arsenal 5-1 in 2008. All action at White Hart Lane is presided over by a copper version of the club’s mascot, a fighting cock, which is perched on the roof.
