Opening in May, the £30million site boasts two hockey pitches, plus four indoor and six outdoor tennis courts. As the host venue for Wheelchair Tennis at the 2012 Olympic Games the centre will continue to promote the sport, providing coaching facilities for local and national players. Changing rooms, a bar and social areas are housed in the centre’s new clubhouse. The site is preparing to welcome back some of the excitement of the Olympics with competitions including the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters, the European Hockey Championships and the Hockey Women’s World Cub already booked.
