Clissold Leisure Centre

It’s now almost six years since this mighty, architecturally designed fitness centre was complete after a couple of years of structural issues. It was worth the wait as its been a huge hit with locals ever since, despite a reputation for having colder-than-average swimming pool temperature. Alongside the vast gym with special running zones and Power Plate areas, there are two main 25 metre swimming pools; one for fitness and the other for training alongside a small but perfectly respectable baby pool. The changing areas both in the single sex areas and mixed changing areas – feel a bit cramped. There are saunas, steam rooms and a Jacuzzi suite, plus an Ofsted registered crèche.
