Hurlingham Park welcomes the return of one of the swankiest sporting events of the summer, as Chestertons Polo in the Park giddies up and canters back to Fulham this June. And don't worry if you're not really part of the polo set, it's every bit as much a social event as a sporting one, so if you drinking champagne and being terribly sophisticated is more your bag, you'll be in good company.
The polo should grab your attention though. There will be an array of European matches taking place, as well as Team England taking on India in a venue that's widely seen as the spiritual home of polo. Games will be played under Polo in the Park's City Polo Series Rules which were devised to make it an even more enticing spectator sport, so expect a series of fast-paced matches. And lots of champagne.
Lanson are sponsoring the whole weekend and they'll be setting up a suitably chic garden bar, plus Mahiki will host the VIP area and top London restaurants Bubbledogs and Kiru will be looking after the food. And then there's shopping, kids clubs, parties and street food stalls, too.
And if you're thinking that all this high rolling may be a little bit out of your budget? Think again. We’ve got tickets up for grabs from just £15, which on Friday evening, even includes a glass of champagne.
