Charity CHIVA Africa are raising funds for their Paediatric AIDS programme in South Africa and have enlisted an impressive line up of high profile celebrities to help them reach their target. Judi Dench, Joanna Lumley and Amanda Wakeley are among the famous names that have deployed their artistic flare to design a personalised Stevenson Brothers children's rocking horse. The individually created and signed horses are now going to be auctioned off at Sotheby's, with all proceeds contributing to the charity's crucial work treating children effected by AIDS.
A limited number of tickets are available for the auction for £150 each and can be bought by emailing starsrocking@chiva-africa.org, while you can eye up your favourite item at the exhibition at Sotheby's Kiddell Gallery from the 11-13 of November. If you see something you like, pre auction bidding has already begun on the charity's website where you can fill in a small form to get involved. On the night, bidding will then start from the price the item has already reached online, with all lots available for absentee bids. Snap up your ticket now and you could walk away with a truly unique item designed by celebrities as varied as actress Maureen Lipman or fashion designer Julien Macdonald.
