With its clean repointed red bricks and grand entrance, this is Smythson's smart new flagship, located in Sloane Ranger heartland. As well as personalised stationery, embossed with the family crest if you wish, a stunning range of leather accessories from bright orange ipad covers to luxury handbags is stocked. Samantha Cameron, Smythson’s creative consultant, has been gently coaxing the 125-year-brand into a slightly more edgy direction, as well as overseeing the design for this contemporary new store to briliant effect. While bespoke stationery will set you back several hundreds, the beautiful thank you notelets in a selection of designs, £40, and pocket-sized lambskin notebooks, £35, are a little more affordable. Head downstairs to the vast personalised stationery desk were you can see eye-poppingly beautiful examples of invitations. We even spotted an invitation from the Queen (Smythson still hold three Royal Warrants).
