Time Out says

We all know we should be investing in 'quality pieces that last', but more often than not, that means taking an unknown risk on an expensive item. Well, take it from us: invest in a pair of Red Wing shoes, and you won't be disappointed. Built to last – and when we say 'last' we mean they'll keep going for years, if not decades – they're some of the sturdiest boots on the market. The brand's history is long (it was founded in the US by Charles Beckman in 1905) and the styles stay true to its heritage with a workman, utilitarian feel.

This London store – the first standalone boutique dedicated to Red Wing shoes in the capital – makes much of the brand's legacy with unisex shoes displayed on industrial steel cabinets and intermingled with vintage preworn boots donated by satisfied Red Wing owners. The store also offers a repair service, laces and other care products to help you keep your boots pristine for a lifetime.
