People always have room for a chair, Chris Reen believes, which is why you’ll always find a good selection of seating in his Camden Passage shop. Reen will happily talk you through the interesting modernist stock here and explain why, for instance, a deliberate mistake might be visible in a design. Furniture and lights dating from 1930 to 1950 are usually Scandinavian, American or British and well-preserved examples of the period. Expect to find names such as Eames and Breuer, Alvar Aalto, Cees Braakman and George Nelson. Previous visits have revealed an Alvar Aalto Type 69 chair, a Marcel Breuer B56 stool and Willy van der Meeren F1 chairs for sale.
