The Music and Video Exchange – which also has a branch in Greenwich – is one of the best places in London for crate-digging record-hunters. The stock is well-organised, mostly in good condition (considering it’s second-hand), and almost embarrassingly comprehensive: rock and pop of all kinds, folk, soundtracks, blues and world music, from the 1960s until now. There are also sections for soul, hip hop and dance, and classical music. Prices vary from staggering (for special editions) to bargain-basement. If you don't mind your music pre-loved, there aren't many better places in London to find it.
