You’ll also find white anchovies in vinegar, Iberian oils, pasteis de bacalhau (salt cod fritters) and pasteis de nata (custard tarts). There’s a great range of Portuguese and Spanish sausages and cured meats (merguez, chorizo, morcilla) as well as a large variety of Portuguese cheeses, pickles, herbs and oils. Extend the experience by nipping over the road to the popular, ever busy, Lisboa Pâtisserie for coffee and a cake; there’s usually a queue, but it’s worth the wait.
