Liberty Beauty Rooms

Aside from the excellent Margaret Dabbs medicure centre in the basement (dispensing the kind of thorough de-scaling that will get you into a smaller shoe size), Liberty have taken their time installing a treatment offering. But better late than never, and this group of little beauty rooms, in yet another wing of the store we never knew was there, is a welcome addition. Each major skincare brand from the ground floor cosmetics department has been invited to take a room and do what they will with it – so the Aveda room has a global travel theme with embroidered cushions and aromatic candles, while the Dermalogica room looks like a hi tech beauty lab. That means you can pick from a very wide selection of treatments – as each offers a menu particular to their brand. There will also be an airy shared space (with a view of the shopping bustle on Carnaby Street) which will be used by the smaller brands from the shop floor to dispense treatments. Prices are fair for the area – a mini Dermalogica facial will set you back £35.
