Time Out says

What is it?

With Kate Moss parading around in its tough-ass boots and every rocker worth their salt (The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Ramones, Iggy Pop) having worn its biker jackets, Lewis Leathers is a true British heritage brand. The shop first opened in 1892 in Great Portland Street and stayed put until 1993. In 2003 the brand was taken over by Derek Harris (a former researcher and designer at the company) who re-opened the shop seven years later. Just a stone's throw from its original site, it still uses the same phone number it had in the 1930s and has the same alternative, rebel spirit of its early days.

What does it sell?

This icon of bikerwear cool sells classic designs from the 1960s and 1970s. It’s not cheap: jacket prices start at around £1,200. But even if you can’t quite afford a jacket, a trip to the store is still worth it as you can swoon at the historic vintage jackets on display. And belt-loop keyrings, card cases and tote bags are much more affordable if you still want to take something home.
