According to host John Lewis, around 60 per cent of women and 50 per cent of men say that receiving a Valentine's card is very important to them – which means that summoning the right words (that aren't already printed in the card) is crucial. Luckily, help is an hand, as best-selling authors Katie Fforde and Sue Moorcroft (together with the store's stationary buyer Clare Northwood) will be offering a masterclass in romance, from choosing and writing a meaningful card to drafting the perfect proposal.
