This three storey, 8000-square-foot temple to affordable luxury sells the entire Karen Millen range and has an ‘Atelier' in the basement. Designed to have the same look and feel as the brand’s actual studio in Shoreditch, the workshop offers a garment customisation service, with varied options for colours, zips, trims and linings. It'll even create a bespoke leather jacket for around £850, which takes between ten and 12 weeks to make.
A free in-store personal shopping service is another highlight, providing customers with an iPad-toting Karen Millen stylist, who will bring a range of clothing to the VIP changing room (with extra-thick carpet, a massive leather sofa and free champagne).
The store's all about giving customers a clear edit of products and trends, and an experience above and beyond what they'll get online or elsewhere on the high street – while targeting the considered shopper after the thrill of having something tailored to their tastes.
