Kabiri’s admirable mission statement is to showcase the best in jewellery, regardless of its price, provenance or how well known the designer is – though many of its unknowns go on to become very successful indeed. Collections change with dizzying speed, but there’s always plenty for smaller budgets, like the perspex necklaces and brooches, as well as the mid-range market, including the colourful, disco-inspired beaded bracelets, necklaces and earrings by designer Brokenfab. Prices climb into quadruple figures for investment pieces: Brazilian designer Carla Amorim’s rose gold and hefty gemstone rings and Vicente Gracia’s gloriously outré pieces, adorned with tiny animal heads with gems for eyes, are among the pricier treasures. Kabiri also has a concession in Selfridges.
