Time Out says

Handmade latex mastery for Masters, Mistresses, fetishistas, fashionistas, kinksters, and hijinx-sters.

Designer Robin Archer and his team are famous worldwide for their brilliantly made, imaginatively conceived haute-couture rubber clothing, and have increasingly collaborated with high fashion houses in recent years; Giles Deacon called upon them to create a series of tie dye latex dresses, for example, and they also worked with Loewe to transfer archive silk scarf patterns onto stunning rubber shirts. Louis Vuitton, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta and Christian Dior have all sent House of Harlot strutting down their catwalks; they’ve clad the bodies of many a celebrity; and the glossy mags keep coming back to them to put glossy garb on their front covers.

These days, the House of Harlot shop is located near Brick Lane, and the items available to buy for both men and women are hotter than any curry on the menu in the neighbourhood. Forward-thinking, fashion-led details abound, as do aspects that will appeal to the seasoned sinner, like peek-a-boo zips, inflatable sex-doll bosoms, and posture collars (essentially, corsets for the neck). As you might expect, prices are commensurate with the workmanship involved and the brand’s deluxe reputation, but service is highly professional, personalised and friendly, and whatever you invest in will be tip-top quality. Off-the-peg items can be tailored, or extra-extraordinary custom clothing can be created from scratch – call to make an appointment for a consultation.

House of Harlot also produce TG Clothing, a latex range for the ‘rubber clubber’ from famed fetish club Torture Garden. This too is increasingly fashion-forward, featuring pieces such as fringed rubber epaulettes, leotards with strait-jacket-esque bondage sleeves, one-shoulder catsuits and dresses-cum-capes.
