Harrods Sale 2013: Luxury Opening

Never thought you'd queue for a sale? Think again. Harrods has come up with an enticing way to ensure the inevitable line of punters waiting at the door come Boxing Day are adequetely entertained. Fire-breathers, jugglers and a serenading string quartet will be keeping the crowd occupied, while street magician Dynamo will be making his way down the queue to wow shoppers ahead of their spending spree. Once you get to the door, expect some 50 butlers serving up canapes by Michelin-starred chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin. And if the weather is threatening to spoil the fun, the department store will hand out free hot chocolate and provide blankets and umbrellas to keep you going. The sale officially starts at 10am – though with this offering, expect a happy queue to form far earlier!
