The V&A is hosting a retrospective show looking back at the work of Central St Martins' graduate and knitwear designer, Craig Lawrence. The highlights of his glittering collections will be the centre of attention and, for one day only, visitors will get to see why his designs are such a favourite with Lady Gaga, Jessie J et al. Lawrence's innovative streak has prompted him to incorporate unconventional materials into his work, such as sweet wrappers, bin bags and Kyototex – a Japanese metallic-covered yarn. If you fancy a look, you'll have to think fast: there are only 1000 free tickets up for grabs across four different time slots – call to book your place from July 9.
