Rosie Fisher’s hand-painted furniture for the nursery comes with all sorts of child favourites: bunnies, boats, soldiers, fairies, pirate mice and vintage roses. Customers are also encouraged to come up with their own ideas for designs. Dragons, on gentele Walton Street, among a host of other posh children’s shops, is a pleasant place to visit; staff are friendly, the mood relaxed and personal service is guaranteed. Curtains, cots, sofas, chaises longues and tiny chairs are made to order, as are the special artwork beds, for which you can expect to pay around £2,000. Personalised chairs and pretty quilts are more affordable. Handsome, traditional toys are also sold.
