This smart Hellenic deli and coffee bar on Piccadilly is the first store outside of Greece for the family run Carpo. Candied and packed versions of scores of fruit are arrayed on shelves that line the walls; sacks of mixed or roasted nuts are stacked on the floor; slabs of chocolate mixed with nuts and fruits are displayed behind the glass counters.
There’s also plenty of types of ground coffee and beans to choose from. Customers lingering near the counter can sit and drink an aromatic Greek coffee, the cup bottom opaque with fine coffee grounds. You are also likely to hear contemporary Greek music, and Greek customers chatting away in their native tongue. A great haunt for snackers with a sweet tooth.
