In case you weren't already aware, 'caravansérail' was once used to describe the traditional roadside inns where travellers would rest and recover in Southeast Europe and North Africa. In the streets of Shoreditch, however, it represents a very stylish bookshop intended to form a base for French and English writers to coalesce. Products include fiction, illustrated works and magazines, as well as exhibitions, talks, readings and live music performances in their gallery.
