Perhaps thanks to her former job as a costume designer, entering Angela Flanders’ shop is a little like stepping back into Victorian London. The small perfumery is redolent of her own creations, all of which are simply presented in packaging that exudes an air of Victoriana. The 16 signature scents, available in eau de toilette, eau de parfum, perfumed candles, room sprays, fragrant burning oils and perfumed lamp grains, include the woody Coromandel, vanilla-scented Parchment and summery Hesperides. There’s also a range of colognes for men and women based on historic scents, scented accessories like linen water and moth bags made of French herbs. In addition to the signature scents, there are six florals, and four new ‘dark’ fragrances – rich, exotic scents like fig & amber. Fragrances are also available in a more concentrated form, in a handbag-sized 30ml bottle.
