Named after a forties burlesque star (Lili St Cyr – it’s pronounced as ‘sincere’), this Camden vintage shop specialises in clothes from the 40s to the 80s. If you’re lucky, you might get your hands on pieces by the likes of Biba, Mary Quant, Lanvin or Givenchy – dresses are grouped by era, size and colour for an easier shopping experience. Prices start at £4 for a pair of earrings, and go up to around £120 for a cocktail gown. Style history buffs should head to the back of the shop, where the ‘fashion library’ is stocked with over one thousand tomes on fashion and costume. If you’re a regular, pick up a store card to earn points and then receive a 20 per cent discounts. Students get 10 per cent off with valid ID, too.
