The venue: Wine-tasting and dinner at Vinopolis.
The couple: Silvia (44) is a receptionist and PA who lives in Manor House. James (36) is a personal trainer who lives in London Bridge.
First impressions
James said: ‘I was pleasantly surprised. She was different – very outgoing, with quite a lot of tattoos, which was cool. And being Italian, she carries herself differently. I don’t really have a type but I definitely found her attractive.’
Silvia said: ‘I thought James was really cute, really pretty, but not the kind of guy I go for. I normally go for the naughty boys, taller with lots of tattoos. He was very well-spoken, but physically he didn’t make me dribble.’
Chemistry
James said: ‘We both put each other at ease and had a laugh early on. When we got into the wine-tasting she was very keen to get drinking, so it’s good that she’s got her priorities right! She had plenty of stories. There wasn’t a quiet moment.’
Silvia said: ‘He has such a great personality you overlook the looks. We had a lots in common, but I wasn’t totally attracted to him. He made me laugh so much, he was incredibly funny. I just don’t think it was romantic chemistry.’
Afterwards
James said: ‘We went for a stroll along the Thames, nice and romantic. We’re actually seeing each other again tomorrow. Did we kiss? I’m a gentleman and I don’t discuss such matters, I’m afraid.’ 4/5 stars
Silvia said: ‘We ended up kissing! He was complimenting me a lot, which was nice, and we exchanged numbers. I’m going to see him again; you never know if something might develop.’ 4/5 stars
