In the sea of cafes and coffeeshops that flood Dalston, Tuck Inn is a beautiful island. Located on the undeniably hip Bradbury Street, which is home to unique boutiques such as Fee Fee La Fou and Eldica record shop, Tuck Inn is a family-run cafe, with staff as inviting as the charming, DIY-look wooden furniture. It's a small joint, which means that friendly owner Pete can happily engage with all his customers while watching over his sons, who can occasionally be found watching YouTube or quietly colouring in.
There's a real homely vibe to this place, which extends to their food (and their prices). A full English can be had all day – each component made the way you like it – while lunch options include a rotating selection of Caribbean curries and stews, and everything costs around a fiver, too.
