Please note, Toto's is now closed. Time Out Eating & Drinking editors, Oct 2016.
A Knightsbridge restaurant located in the Grade II-listed Walton House, Toto's reopened under new management last year, following a two year refurbishment. It's a swanky, darker new look.
The menu remains Italian. The regional dishes range from scallops with cauliflower purée and beef carpaccio with black truffle, rocket and parmesan to red prawn tartare, lobster tagliolini, veal Milanese, fillet of beef with peppercorn sauce and wild, line-caught sea bass oven baked in salt to share. Desserts include tiramisu and a chocolate and Gianduia fondant with amaretto gelato.
The lengthy wine list leans toward well-known Italian winemaking regions, though there is a section devoted to France, too – plus there are plenty of Champagnes. A few options are available by the glass but if you really want to splash the cash? There's a good number drifting well into four figures.
