This Battersea pub is from the Geronimo Inns stable - a group with a portfolio stretching all across London and down into Surrey. It's a company not averse to a spot of colour and this place proves indicative - ceilings are painted like Big Tops, and Wellington is custard-pied in a spoof portrait.
The food menu focuses on posh pub grub, so expect Cumberland sausages with a provençale herb mash and a red onion jus, seafood linguine, a selection of sliders and baskets of calamari or spicy wings with a stilton dip. Chateaubriands and grilled halves of lobster offer fancy alternatives.
A short wine list offers a good number by the glass, alongside a selection of real ales and continental lagers.
