Not content with already running Clapham’s best tapas bar (The Dairy) and best restaurant (The Manor), the same team has just opened a tiny deli next door to The Dairy, simply called The Delicatessen. It sells an odd mix of esoteric ingredients including Spanish calçots (leeks), own-made kimchi and bone-marrow butter, as well as more usual products such as fruit juice, chorizo or smoked salmon. There are no seats inside, but the pavement tables and chairs are a good place to have a coffee and a takeaway sandwich while watching the promenade from a prime spot facing Clapham Common.
