A cafe in the day and a bar when the sun goes down, Tate Modern’s newly opened Corner comes complete with a Thameside terrace (which could be a proper draw if the weather stops being quite so grim this summer). Grab brekkie and bakes in the morning or a light lunch of burnt fennel, courgette and chickpea salad then afternoon tea and cake. Or – and this is our favourite option – roll up in the evening (they’re open until 11pm most nights) and quaff a balloon of Beaujolais or one of their masterpiece-inspired cocktail concoctions. We’ll take a Taste of Adulthood, inspired by proto-surrealist painter Hilma af Klint, made with gin, iris, cherry and violet and garnished with a snail shell.
