A no-frills, canteen-style restaurant in the middle of a strip of ocakbasis on Kingsland High Street, Sömine serves up all the classic mezze and grill items you’d expect to see from a Turkish spot. It’s is probably best known for its stews, which change daily and mostly feature lamb alongside a combination of vegetables or pulses. While the food here might not be quite as memorable as some of the other restaurants in the area, the prices are very reasonable and service is friendly and jokey, so it’s unsurprising that the place often fills up in the evenings.
